Heidi Heinlein, a senior program officer and consultant, is known for designing grant programs that help donors maximize the impact of their giving. She builds relationships with nonprofit leaders to understand complex issues and connect her clients to the communities they fund. She recently designed and led GMA Funder’s Community’s 17/25 Fund for Young Adults.
Heidi’s extensive background in charitable giving and nonprofit management includes serving as grants manager for Cummings Foundation, philanthropic advisor for The Art of Giving, and director of charitable programs for Citizens Energy. She began her career with the American Red Cross and also managed the Harvard Award for Excellence in Children’s Health.
After graduating from the University of Colorado, Heidi earned a Master of Public Health from Boston University. She lives in Dover, MA with her husband, David. They have four adult children.
