Chaletta Huertas is a senior program officer and philanthropic advisor at GMA. She has extensive experience evaluating programs, managing complex projects, and strategizing ways to maximize impact for family, corporate, and independent foundations. Chaletta is known for her expertise in early childhood education and youth development for diverse populations; additionally, she is well-versed in best practices in supporting immigrant and refugee groups, civic engagement, and workforce development.

Chaletta has helped clients in all stages of their development, from setting up a new grantmaking program to crafting a legacy plan when a foundation sunsets. Along the way, she has guided foundation trustees in creating and fine-tuning their impact measurement systems and exploring new approaches.

A graduate of Cornell University, Chaletta has worked at the Hyams Foundation through Philanthropy MA’s Diversity Fellowship, founded and led the growth of a college preparation mentoring program at the faith-based Boston Higher Education Resource Center, and evaluated health care programs and policies for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She loves spending time with her family, hiking, mentoring youth/young adults, and learning new languages, especially Spanish, French, and Hebrew.
